As part of the series of meetings "Corporate Tuesdays", the School of Engineering and Technology of the Group Supdeco Dakar, received the company Polaris ST, this Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 9:00 am, at the amphitheater of the campus Point E. The theme of this meeting was : cyber security and its professions.
In his opening remarks, the Director of the School of Engineering and Technology, Dr Falou Ndoye, welcomed the Polaris ST team to Supdeco before reminding the audience that this session should allow them to address all the issues related to the concept of "cybersecurity" and to better understand the inherent professions.
For her part, Ms. Fatou Caullery, technical advisor, presented the company Polaris ST as a firm specializing in cybersecurity, which claims total independence from its partners and customers. Founded in 2010, the firm offers comprehensive technical solutions ranging from strategy definition to support in its implementation to data analysis, risk management and monitoring.
Speaking of Polaris ST’s offerings, Malick Fall, founder and managing director of Polaris, explains that they essentially consist of support for clients in several areas : auditing, consulting, digital confidence and training. As for the firm’s strengths, they remain knowledge of the practical challenges of cybersecurity, experience, know-how, monitoring and support.
While we are at the forefront of digital transformation, big data, the cloud, the IoT (Internet of Things), artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency and mobile money, the challenges of cybersecurity have become more topical and worrying.
These challenges are manifested in the explosion of cybercrime, the speed of technological change, the defence of informal assets, the protection of personal data and intellectual property, among others.
