The Managing Director of Baamtu Technologies, Mr. Mohamed Moustapha Diouf, at the inaugural conference of "Les Mardis de l’entreprise" at the Supdeco Dakar Group, suggested this Tuesday, June 22, 2021, that the "future of artificial intelligence will be played out in Africa. This holder of a doctorate in software engineering in Bordeaux, said it before the students of the School of Engineering and Technology of Supdeco, which received the company Baamtu for a day entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence and its applications.
Indeed, this visit is part of a series of meetings that the School of Engineering and Technology of the Supdeco Group intends to organise and perpetuate with companies under the concept "Tuesdays of the company". An appointment to be noted in the diaries from now on.
After presenting his group of about fifty engineers launched 13 years ago and based in Dakar, the Director General of Baambtu Technologies, returned to the technical and functional offerings of his company, as well as their solutions in data and artificial intelligence.
Taking the floor, the Director of the School of Engineering and Technology of Supdeco welcomed the holding of this activity and thanked the company Baamtu, which has proven expertise in software engineering and data management, for accepting to respond to his invitation. Nowadays," explained Dr Falou NDOYE, "you can’t do a training course in digital technology without tackling artificial intelligence.
Through presentations, Baamtu engineers presented : ASR WOLOF, a voice recognition solution for Wolof ; Ganeyi, a solution for extracting text from images with related use cases and a modern analytical method using AWS Kinesis + CDAP + Snowflake + Tableau. These presentations kept all the promises of this first edition in which Mrs Seynabou Diop, assistant to the general management and in charge of relations with companies, took part with interest, as did the students, with interactive exchanges and questions of admirable relevance
